We brewed this Doppelbock to provide a little warmth before the end of winter. After a long cool fermentation and almost 4 months of lagering, the end result is a beautiful smooth, dark brown, rich lager with gentle notes of caramel and dark chocolate.

The style is a bigger and stronger version of the german style Bock beers and the name 'Doppel' literally means 'double'.

A dark winter warmer, it is a very food friendly style with flavours of toasted bread and dark fruit, perfect to pair with a comforting sticky toffee pudding.
